Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking an Assistant Director to join our Pottstown team. This role supports the overall operations of the center, including both our Early Head Start and PreK Counts programs, helping to ensure high-quality experience for children, families, and staff.

About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with the Center Director to support day-to-day operations and ensure the center runs smoothly.
- Keep the center running smoothly by supporting day-to-day operations across Early Head Start and Pre-K Counts classrooms
- Jump in to support staffing needs and make sure ratios are always met
- Serve as a point of contact between center staff and leadership
- Lead staff meetings and provide clear, helpful classroom feedback
- Support hiring, onboarding, and coaching of teachers
- Coordinate trainings, manage supplies, and help oversee the facility
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, Early Head Start, and Pre-K Counts requirements
- Build strong, positive relationships with families and keep communication consistent
- Support implementation of curriculum and encourage family involvement
- Represent Wonderspring in the community and work with partners, including PEAK
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field (bachelor’s preferred)
- PA Director’s Credential, preferred
- At least 2 years related center management experience of mid-size Early Childhood programs
- Experience successfully partnering with multiple agencies, preferred
- Outstanding relationship builder within community
- Demonstrated ability to manage the successful day-to-day operations of a high-quality center
- Knowledge and understanding of Keystone STARS
- Knowledge and experience with Creative Curriculum & PATHS, preferred
- Must meet all required clearances and health checks.
